Pregnancy & labor support from a doula

I offer gentle, continuous support for individuals and families navigating a new pregnancy after a loss, fertility challenges or other complexities. This journey is unique, often holding a balance of hope and joy alongside anxiety and grief. My role is to honor all of your feelings and provide a steady, trauma-informed presence from early pregnancy through birth and postpartum.

I work with individuals and couples or pairs who are:

♥ Pregnant again after a previous loss and need trauma-and grief- informed care

♥ Experiencing anxiety, hypervigilance, or fear while reaching milestones

♥ Navigating the emotional complexity of prenatal testing and appointments

♥ Preparing for birth and postpartum with a history of grief or trauma

♥ Seeking to honor their previous loss while welcoming a new baby

♥ Needing continuous support from the onset of a "rainbow pregnancy"

How it works:

If you're in the Northern Virginia/DC metro area, I offer in-person doula support for prenatal visits, labor, and postpartum care.

Virtual one-to-one support is also available for anyone who would benefit from care shaped uniquely around their circumstances.

Our services are primarily designed for the birthing parent, but I also welcome partners or support people who wish to better understand how to support this journey and process their own feelings.

My commitment is to provide care that respects your previous loss, helps you reclaim trust in your body and pregnancy, and prepares you for a peaceful, empowered birth experience—whatever that looks like for you.

  1. Schedule a free intake call: We’ll talk through your needs and see if Heartsongs Doula is the right fit—with no obligation. If your are looking for labor support and would like to schedule an interview instead, contact allie@heartsongsdoula.com to make arrangements.
